Challenge
Needed a unified platform to track credit card transactions, bank activity, invoices, expenses, and rental property finances across multiple clients with automated tax calculations.
Solution
Built a 42-page Oracle APEX application with 17 FIN_* tables, 8 views, automated invoice extraction via n8n pipelines (135+ PDFs processed), multi-client billing with per-client rate history, and Canadian GST/HST/PST tax calculations.

The Financial Activity Platform consolidates all financial tracking for DB Realm Inc. and its clients into a single Oracle APEX application. It handles credit card reconciliation, bank transaction categorization, invoice management, expense tracking, and rental property accounting.
A key innovation is the n8n-powered invoice extraction pipeline that processes 135+ PDFs from Google Drive, parses them using AI-assisted extraction, and loads them into Oracle with bind variables and staging tables for data integrity.
The platform also integrates with Plaid for automated bank account synchronization and calculates Canadian provincial and federal taxes (GST/HST/PST) based on configurable rate tables.
