Challenge
Canada's premier pediatric hospital needed a comprehensive clinical research database to manage brain imaging studies, patient cohorts, research protocols, and data collection instruments across multiple research teams.
Solution
Designed and built a 148-page Oracle APEX application supporting complex clinical workflows — patient enrollment, imaging study tracking, data collection instruments, cohort management, and research protocol compliance. Implemented role-based access control aligned with hospital IT security requirements.

The application implements strict role-based access to protect patient data while enabling collaboration across research groups. Custom data collection instruments were built to match existing clinical workflows, minimizing disruption to researchers.
