The university needed a digital campus entry permit system with barcode scanning for vehicle access control, integrated with the existing Ellucian Banner ERP for employee and student verification.

Solution

Built a 20-page APEX application with barcode generation and scanning, email template engine for permit notifications, and real-time Banner integration for identity verification. Security staff can scan permits at campus gates for instant validation.
